VACAP members were recognized on the Senate and House floor during the VACAP Advocacy day at the Virginia General Assembly on January 24, 2024. Senator Louise Lucas that represents the Cities of Chesapeake and Portsmouth and Chair of the Senate Finance and Appropriations Committee welcomed VACAP members on the Senate of Virginia’s floor session. Delegate Sam Rasoul that represents the City of Roanoke and sits on the House Appropriations committee and serves as chair of the Education Committee welcomed VACAP members from the Virginia House of Delegates floor. VACAP is grateful for bipartisan support and the recognition from both chambers of the Virginia General Assembly and is proud to advocate on behalf of the membership for increased funding to the Virginia CASH Campaign initiative and Whole Family approach program.
