This is Jessica Simpson.
She is 28 years old and has a very rare genetic disorder called Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (RDEB). It is a condition that affects her entire skin and mucus membranes where even the slightest trauma or friction causes blistering and scarring.
In Jessica’s case, the disease also affects her eyes, mouth and joints, causing chronic corneal abrasions, periodontal disease and fusion of her fingers and toes. It has also contributed to her skin cancer and chronic anemia. Because of her disease, 75 to 80% of her body is bandaged daily.

Her home is not handicapped accessible. She receives little help from the healthcare systems or the government. She lives with her father who suffered a heart attack last year and is no longer physically able to address her physical needs in terms of updating the house for handicapped accessibility.
The STOP Organization has taken on the task of helping to renovate Jessica’s home and get her the ongoing care that she needs. STOP has begun the Jessica Simpson Fund in order to raise money to make Jessica’s home more handicapped accessible as well as tend to her ongoing medical needs.
This is an opportunity to contribute to keeping a young, vibrant and spirited woman independent despite her worsening condition. Donations may be made to:
