Follow-Up on VACAP Stimulus Meeting

The following websites contain valuable information around the stimulus:

·         http://www.recovery.gov   The Obama Administration’s website which is updated daily (see the “Featured News” section on the home page). 

·         http://www.hhs.gov/recovery/index.html   The Department of Health and Human Services’ website which contains specific information if you click on the heading “Programs”.  This is where the federal CSBG instruction memorandum will be located when it is made available. 

·         Other federal departments have their own “recovery” websites:  for example, the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s  website http://www.hud.gov/recovery.

·         http://www.stimulus.virginia.gov   The Commonwealth of Virginia website where you may find the state government contacts for various programs under ‘Stimulus Committee Contacts’.

US Department of Energy Announces Weatherization Funding for Virginia

Washington DC -- Vice President Joe Biden and Energy Secretary Chu today announced Virginia will receive $164,135,276 in weatherization and energy efficiency funding – including $94,134,276 for the Weatherization Assistance Program and $70,001,000 for the State Energy Program.
