VA Budget Language for Community Action Agency Funding

The VA General Assembly has proposed an amendment for the upcoming budget. This amendment places a moratorium on funding for new community action agencies or expanded service areas by existing community action agencies unless the Secretary of Health and Human Services certifies that sufficient funding is available for these expansions.

NCAF - Support Needed for Reed-Collins LIHEAP Amendment

As many of you know, earlier this year 37 Senators signed on to a letter initiated by Senators Reed (D-RI) and Collins (R-ME) asking the Budget Committee to include $5.1 billion for LIHEAP in FY 2009, (the authorized level).
