People Incorporated Campaign Receives National Award

Hillhouse Graphic Design, Kingsport TN, recently received an APEX Award for 2010 in the category of Public Relations, Public Information & Public Service Campaigns. 

"Our campaign strategy was very direct and simple," Hillhouse says.  "We wanted to tell the People Incorporated story from the perspective of the individuals and families they serve."

Appalachian CAA in the News

WCYB.Com- Bristol, Kingsport, Johnson City

Executive Director, Angie Sproles, says they've seen a huge increase in the need for assistance since last year.  For expample, in 2009 they paid almost $11,000 to help those with their power bills.  This year, over $122,000....

Appalachian Community Action Receives Grant

Kingsport Times News from Gate City, Va.- The Appalachian Community Action & Development Agency received a $115,000 grant last week designed to help those in risk of losing their homes.  The Homeless Intervention Program (HIP) grant awarded.......

People Incorporated Partners to Rehab Homes in Northern Shenandoah Valley

The Northern Virginia Daily:

"The Northern Shenandoah Valley Regional Commission received a $2.5 million grant to acquire and refurbish homes in Warren, Frederick and Shenandoah counties.  The commission is working in conjunction with nonprofit groups Community Housing Partners, Habitat for Humanity of Winchester-Frederick and People, Incorporated to find qaulified occupants for the dwellings," writes Linwood Outlaw III.
